A few weeks after announcing the creation of its business unit Watson Health to use its cognitive computing system in the medical field, IBM has announced new partnerships in this initiative. Fourteen cancer institutes will work together with IBM to achieve progress particularly in the field of genomics and offer their patients more personalized treatments.

This week Google+ has launched a new section of its social network, Collections, that allow users to gather their posts about a topic or that they want to put together anyway. This allows users to organize their post according to their preferences but also others to follow only part of the certain user’s posts.

Elon Musk, the owner of the electric cars manufacturer Tesla Motors, has announced Tesla Energy, a suite of batteries to power homes as well as businesses. The first products that will be available in the USA this summer are Tesla Powerwall, a lithium ion battery in 7 kWh and 10 kWh models, and Powerpack, a 100 kWh unit for higher demands. The idea is to revolutionize the management of electricity by helping to achieve autonomy from suppliers.
