Ishiro Honda in 1954

Director Ishiro – or Inoshiro – Honda was born on May 7, 1911 in Yamagata, Japan. He’s most famous for directing the original “Godzilla” movie and many other monser movies. He was great friends with Akira Kurosawa and worked with him in several of his movies.
