In 1976, the Viking 1 and 2 landers carried out an experiment on Mars that aimed to test the possibility that there was life on the red planet. Some chemical reactions revealed were unexpected but they weren’t regarded as evidence of the existance of life forms. The issue remained controversial and now an international team of scientists who conducted new analysis on the data from that time concluded that probably there’s life on Mars.

Google announced it has exceeded one hundred and seventy million users registered to Google+ but particularly the company launched the new look of its social network.

Doctor Who - The Claws of Axos

“The Claws Of Axos” is an adventure of the eighth season of “Doctor Who” classic series which aired in 1971 featuring the Third Doctor and Jo Grant. It follows “The Mind of Evil” and it’s a four parts adventure written by Bob Baker and Dave Martin and directed by Michael Ferguson.

A spaceship crashes on Earth and the alien crew ask the Earthlings for help to refuel. In return, they offer Axonite, a mineral that can replicate any substance.

The Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee) isn’t convinced of the aliens Axons’ good faith and together with Jo Grant (Katy Manning) investigates the nature of Axonite. However, there are many interests at stake and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart (Nicholas Courtney) has to face political interference.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s founder and CEO, announced with a post on his own social network he bought Instagram, a mobile photo-sharing application. The price is a billion dollars, partly in cash and partly in stock.
