Amanda Tapping was born on August 28, 1965 in Rochford, Essex, England. When she was three years old her family moved to Ontario, Canada. She’s famous especially for playing Samantha Carter in the Stargate franchise and Helen Magnus in the TV show “Sanctuary”, of which she was also an executive producer. In recent years she’s mostly working as a director.
