Panathinaikos Athens wins basketball Euroleague 2010/2011 defeating Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv in the final. In the semifinals Panathinaikos Athens defeated Montepaschi Siena and Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Real Madrid.

Isiah Lord Thomas III (photo ©Keith Allison) was born on April 30, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois. He won the NCAA title in 1981 and the NBA title in 1989 and 1990. He was introduced in the Hall of Fame in 2000.

Last night the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers lost game 1 in NBA playoffs first round. Since the introduction of the 16 teams playoffs in the NBA it’s the first time the first two seeded teams in a conference lose game 1 in the first round.
