Data from NASA’s space telescopes Chandra and Hubble showed supermassive black holes growing at the center of galaxies so far away that the light we see today dates back to a time when the universe was less than a billion years old.
Using the X-ray telescope Chandra NASA discovered the possible presence of a black hole just 30 years old in the M100 galaxy at about 50 millions light years from Earth.
