BrahMos Missile is a supersonic cruise missile which can be launched from ships, aircrafts, from land or from submarines.It was developed jointly by Russia and the Republic of India who collectively formed the BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited. The BrahMos 3 cruise missile is the successor of BrahMos II missile which is capable of engaging targets in unreachable mountain terrains. It was successfully tested by the Indian Army on November 18, 2013 at the Pokhran field, Rajasthan. The launch was carried out entirely by the Indian army.
