Andrew Jordt Robinson was born on February 14, 1942 in New York City. He’s famous for his roles as a serial killer, particularly in the movie “Dirty Harry”, but also for his role as the Cardassian Elim Garak in the TV show “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”.

At 11.00 Central European Time this morning the new European Vega (Vettore Europeo di Generazione Avanzata, the Italian for European Advanced Generation Carrier Rocket) launcher lift off from the European launch base in French Guiana to successfully achieve what is called qualification flight, which is the first real flight in which it carries a payload of satellites that were placed in orbit.

Using the VIRTIS at infrared waves, the space probe Venus Express can study the surface of Venus despite the thick layer of clouds that cover it finding a change in the planet’s rotation speed.
