Andy Roddick at the US Open 2010

A few days ago, Andy Roddick announced that he’d retire after the US Open and yesterday he did it after being defeated by Juan Martin del Potro at the US Open. In his career he won many tournaments: the most important was the US Open 2003, his only Grand Slam title. In 2007 he won the Davis Cup as part of the U.S.A. team.

Doctor Who - Kinda

“Kinda”, is an adventure of the nineteenth season of “Doctor Who” classic series which aired in 1982 featuring the Fifth Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa and Adric. It follows “Four to Doomsday” and it’s a four parts adventure written by Christopher Bailey and directed by Peter Grimwade.

Marion's Wall by Jack Finney (Italian edition)

The novel “Marion’s Wall” by Jack Finney was published for the first time in 1973. Following his father’s advice, Nick goes to live with his wife Jan in an old house in San Francisco. While they are removing the old wallpaper, on a wall they find a phrase written by one Marion Marsh in 1926. Some time later, Nick and Jan watch an old movie on TV, one of the few in which Marion Marsh had a part. Suddenly, Marion’s spirit appears to Nick and then takes possession of Jan’s body because she wants to go to Hollywood and at last become a movie star.

On August 30, the GRAIL (Gravity Recovery And Interior Laboratory) twin spacecraft, Ebb and Flow, started their extended mission to map the Moon’s gravity with even greater precision. About three months after finishing their primary mission and being placed in a state of hibernation to survive a lunar eclipse, the instruments of the two spacecraft were reactivated and they were moved to a lower orbit.

Carolyn Janice Cherry, this is her real name, was born on September 1, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri. She has wrote more than 60 science fiction and fantasy novels. She won the Hugo for the best novel of the year with “Downbelow Station” (1981) and “Cyteen” (1989).
