David Boreanaz was born on May 16, 1969 in Buffalo, New York, USA.

David Boreanaz’s father worked over the years as a TV weather forecaster with the stage name Dave Roberts and as the host of the children’s program “Rocketship 7” with the stage name Dave Thomas so the young David grew up between Buffalo and Philadelphia following the father’s job changes.

During his school years, David Boreanaz practiced various sports at a good level but at the Ithaca University he graduated in cinema and photography in 1991 with the intention of starting an acting career. For this reason, after graduating, he moved to Los Angeles, where he starting having small roles in television and cinema productions. In the early years of his career he also worked as a production assistant.

The great change in David Boreanaz’s career came when he was cast to play Angel in the TV show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer“, which began in 1997. Initially he was a recurring character but not a regular but the audience appreciation earned him a greater importance. Thanks also to the show’s success, the character ended up having his spinoff, “Angel”, which lasted five seasons and during the show the actor also made his debut as a director for an episode.

Thanks to the fame earned during those years, David Boreanaz also found important roles in some movies, even if not exactly memorable: “Valentine” (2001), “The Crow: Wicked Prayer” (2005), “These Girls” (2005) and “Mr. Fix It” (2006).

Starting in 2005, David Boreanaz played FBI agent Seeley Booth in the TV show “Bones”. Inspired by Kathy Reichs’s novels, it’s a precedural show with significant comedy elements in which a forensic team led by Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan must solve homicide cases based on the examination of the victims’ remains. The actor was also co-producer and then producer of the show and directed 11 episodes.

In 2017 David Boreanaz started playing Jason Hayes in the TV show “SEAL Team”, which follows the missions of a Navy SEAL unit. Initially he was also producer of the show and then become co-executive producer and during the two seasons produced so far he directed 2 episodes. The show has been renewed for a third season for the joy of the fans of an actor who earned fame with two roles and now is trying to renew it with a third role.
