Andy Murray was overall disappointing, especially because he started the match very well winning the first set thanks to an aggressive attitude. Instead, in the next sets the Scot slowly turned back to being the usual defensive player and lost the match. For him this is the fourth defeat in a Grand Slam final, will ever win one? There’s a real risk that he never becomes the champion many were predicting.

Roger Federer won another Grand Slam title after more than two years and perhaps it’s not a coincidence that he also won the 2010 Australian Open defeating Andy Murray in the final. Honestly, more than ever this time his opponents served the victory on a silver platter but he was the only one to take advantage to the end of his opponents’ problems. From Monday he’ll also be the no. 1 in the ATP ranking again.
