On March 31 the 9th season of the show “The Walking Dead” ended.

The 9th season was produced and broadcast in the format that have become usual: 16 episodes of which 8 were broadcast in October / December 2018 and the other 8 in February / March 2019. Now the ratings decline are no longer news but after an overall negative season like the eighth one more people abandoned the show with a consequent decline even among the ones who recorded the episodes. The eighth season of “The Walking Dead” told the war between the group of Alexandria, Hilltop and the Kingdom and Negan’s Saviors. A year and a half after the end of the war, the communities are working on a reconstruction but not all of them share the same ideas on how to move forward and who should be the leaders.

For this reason the Apocalypse is really a nuisance for them and, despite the fact that it was carefully planned since the Creation, the two them are looking for a loophole to avoid it.

The Antichrist is about to reach the age when he will start manifesting his powers and the only hope for Aziraphale and Crowley is that he grows in a way that never leads him to perform the acts needed to start the end of the world. The plan could work despite the signs of the impending Apocalypse if the child the two are trying to influence was indeed the Antichrist.

Edgar Allan Poe in 1848

Edgar Poe, this was his birth name, was born on January 19, 1809, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Edgar Allan Poe’s life was complex since he was very young since his father abandoned his family in 1810 and his mother died of tuberculosis in 1811. Little Edgar was entrusted to the merchant John Allan, hence the change of his name. His new family was wealthy and had him study in Great Britain.

Initially, Edgar Allan Poe’s works were partially successful because some were successful but others received a lot of criticism. Stories that today we would call detective fiction such as “The Gold-Bug” (1843) gave him more fame in the short term than his horror stories. For the author luck was evanescent and his personal situation got worse when, in 1842, his wife Virginia started manifesting serious symptoms of tuberculosis, which got worse until her death, which occurred in 1847.

For years Edgar Allan Poe had problems with alcoholism and the last years of his life were particularly tough. His death seemed one of his stories because, on October 3, 1849, he was found in delirium in Baltimore and was taken to a hospital, where he died on October 7. The exact cause of his death is still the subject of discussion.
